- Secure the pre-assembly stud in a vise
- Attach the nut connection
- Insert the tube into the nut connection
- Tighten the union nut about 1.5 turns using an open-ended spanner
- Complete the assembly in the equipment by turning it about 1/4
- Maintain the flat metal surface's cleanliness
- Periodically lubricate the thread and the flat metal surface to ease pre-assembly
